Piton des Neiges

Piton des Neiges is an extinct volcano and the highest point on Réunion Island, at 3,070 m, in the Indian Ocean. Its summit overlooks the three great cirques of Cilaos, Mafate and Salazie. Hikers climb it from the Cilaos side, often staying overnight at a hut near the top.
