Lhotse
Lhotse, at 8,516 m, is the fourth-highest mountain in the world, joined to Everest by the South Col on the border of Nepal and Tibet. Its south face is a steep wall, and the main route shares much of the Everest climb in the early stages. Trekkers in the Khumbu region see it clearly from Everest Base Camp trails.
