Matterhorn
The Matterhorn is a sharply pointed pyramid on the Swiss-Italian border in the Pennine Alps, at about 4,478 m. It was first climbed in 1865 from the Swiss side. The village of Zermatt lies beneath it, with Breuil-Cervinia on the Italian side, and trails around its base give views of the four faces.
