Mawson Peak

Mawson Peak is the summit of Big Ben, an active volcano of 2,745 m on Heard Island in the southern Indian Ocean, part of the Australian territory. It is the highest point in Australian territory and rises from a heavily glaciated island. Heard Island is uninhabited, and the few visits are made by expedition ships.
