Mount Helicon

Mount Helicon is a mountain of about 1,748 m in Boeotia, central Greece, near Livadia. In ancient Greek myth it was the home of the Muses, and springs such as Hippocrene were linked to poetic inspiration. Today it is a quiet area of forests and rocky slopes, with villages and walking paths, and a small monastery on its flank.
