Ol Doinyo Lengai

Ol Doinyo Lengai, at about 2,960 m, is a volcano in northern Tanzania, near Lake Natron in the East African Rift. Its name means Mountain of God in the Maasai language. It is the only known volcano to erupt natrocarbonatite lava, which is unusually fluid and dark. Guided climbs on its steep, ash-covered slopes are done by walkers with local guides.
