Salar de Uyuni

Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world, in southwestern Bolivia at 3,661 m in the Andes. Its surface is almost perfectly flat and white, and a thin layer of water can turn it into a vast mirror. Visitors cross it on multi-day jeep tours, passing islands covered with cacti.
