Bosten Lake
Bosten Lake is the largest inland freshwater lake in China, in Xinjiang, at 1,048 m, at the edge of the Tian Shan mountains and the Taklamakan desert. Reed beds and wetlands surround it. Visitors come for the contrast of water and desert landscape, and for birdwatching and boat trips.
