Ismoil Somoni Peak
Ismoil Somoni Peak, at about 7,495 m, is the highest mountain in Tajikistan, in the Pamir range. It was formerly known as Communism Peak. Climbers approach it through the Fedchenko glacier region and the Pamir valleys, usually on organised expeditions.
