Nelson Lakes National Park

Nelson Lakes National Park sits at the northern end of New Zealand's Southern Alps, around Lake Rotoiti and Lake Rotoroa. Beech forest rises to rugged ridges and alpine tops above the lakes. It is a base for day walks and for longer tramping routes with huts, such as the Travers-Sabine circuit.
